Why “Jim's?”
The founder and inventor of Jim's Break-A-Way Flasher, George Pentland, owns a “fish camp” on Quadra Island in British Columbia (near Campbell River). Jim was a good friend and fishing partner who passed on. The name, Jim, honors a fine gentleman and one heck of a salmon fisherman!

Currently:

In June of 2008, Ken Pinnell purchased Qcove from George, and renamed the company Qcove Fishing Tackle.  Ken continues to come up with innovative fishing tackle ideas which help the fisherman become more efficient.

Ken is active with several associations including ASA (American Sportfishing Association), PSA (Puget Sound Anglers) and CCA (Coastal Conservation Association).
